Recommended stain percentages for coloring a white or light clay body. Dark colors need less; light colors need more. Always test with your specific clay body before committing to a batch.
Reading wet color
If the clay looks right when wet, it is too dark. Add more white clay. Color lightens significantly on firing, especially greys.
